Tucked away, but only 2 minutes walk from Christchurch town centre is the tranquil and beautiful Avon Marina. This hidden gem of the Dorset coast is also the home to the UK Takacat. Passionate about unique and innovative products for the marine trade, Avon Marina is proud to have been the UK distributor of Takacat since 2012. We offer boat and outboard engine sales on one easy site. This site provides useful information on each model, but we love real-world contact, so if you have any questions just drop us a line.

ABOUT RIVERBOATS

River Boats have been designed and manufactured in Norway since 1995 and are high-quality seaworthy boats produced in polyethelene . They are built to an award-winning design focusing on safety and low cost of ownership.

The company is currently owned by Christoffer Haarbye and Reidar Gjølstad, who both have extensive experience in the development and production of fast boats and lifeboats. All boats are DNV approved as a supplement to the mandatory CE marking and have been thoroughly tested and highly rated by DNV and both River 350 and 420 are classified in category C.

The boats have a very practical user-friendly design, which is also rewarded with MFGD. (Marked For Good Design by the Norwegian Design Council) . The company has so far delivered over 10,000 boats in a number of applications and markets.
