Get to know our Avon Marina team!
Meet Alexis, our Marina Manager, Alexis has worked at Avon Marina since its creation in November of 2019, and has immense experience in the marine industry. In his free time, Alexis loves to play racket ball – and was crowned national over 40s champion! Moreover, Alexis loves to go skiing, fishing and spending time with his family.
Meet Sam, our Boatyard team member, who joined Avon Marina in 2021, having previously worked in Sunseeker for 5 years, and working on a variety of boat shows and events for 17 years previous.
Sam’s main hobby includes building and collecting LEGO!
Meet Matt, our Boatyard team member
Matt has worked at Rossiters Quay for 12 years – that’s before the creation of Avon Marina!
Matt has lots of experience in the marine industry and had even studied for a degree in boat design at university. Matt’s hobbies consist of sailing and boating!
Meet Elliot, our boatyard operative. Elliot joined our boatyard team in September of 2024.
Prior to his work at Avon, Elliot completed his pre cadetship training, gaining knowledge about the marine industry.
In his spare time, Elliot likes to take part in Ju jitsu and Thai boxing!
Meet Vince, our Workshop Manager, with 44 years of experience in the industry. Vince joined our team in 2020 and is our engineering expert!
On the weekends, Vince enjoys boating, and has a strong interest in classic car restoration projects.
Meet Ian, our Engineering Manager, with 36 years of experience in the field, Ian can be considered an expert! Ian joined Hypro Marine, our sister company, in 2016 and has been with us ever since. In his spare time, Ian’s interests consist of offroad motorcycling.
Meet Barry, our Marine Engineer, who joined us in May of 2024. His experience includes 25 years in the marine industry! His interests mainly consist of classic cars – particularly their restoration. Barry also loves to spend time with his children and family.
Meet Jack, our Apprentice Marine Engineer; Jack joined Avon Marina in May of 2023, where he began working our Chandlery, he now assists our Marine Engineers as an apprentice! On the weekends, Jack enjoys playing golf as well as, sailing on his rib.
Meet Jason, our Workshop Administrator. Jason joined our team, when he was 16 years old, he has been in the Marine industry for the whole of his professional career! His hobbies include playing football, and going on holidays and adventures abroad!
Meet Pip, our Repair and Refit Manager, Pip joined in November of 2022.
Pip has spent most of his career in the industry, working at Sunseeker International for 16 years, as well as being captain of 30m yacht and project manager of a 50m yacht refit.
Pip spends most of his free time fishing or watching motorsports.
Meet Dave, our Repair and Refit Technician.
Dave joined our team here at Avon Marina in November of 2022, after having worked at Sunseeker International for 29 years as well as a local Marine servicing company afterwards.
During his free time, Dave particularly enjoys gardening.
Meet Justin, our Restoration and Bodyshop Manager, who joined our team in August of 2024, with over 30 years of expertise from within the industry.
Justin’s interests include everything to do with classic cars – especially paint and restoration projects.
Justin also loves to cook, especially on the BBQ in the summer season!
Meet Harry, our Bodyshop assistant. Harry joined our team in our brand new Restoration and Refinishing department in August of 2024.
Harry’s previous experience includes specialsing in classic car restorations and being a paint and refinishing expert.
Harry is also a car enthusiast – his interests include all things Cars!
Meet Crispin, our Sales and Marketing Manager.
Previously, Crispin had worked in Sales, Business Development and Marketing for many years in industries including Private Healthcare and Internet Broadcasting.
His hobbies include most if not all water sports and a questionable golfing ability.
Meet Noel, our Lead of Sales.
Noel had joined our team 5 years ago, and ensures exceptional customer service and is an expert and specialist on our offering of boats and products.
On the weekend, Noel’s hobbies include going boating with his friends and spending time with his family.
