Lynn Lewis, invented the prototype Sea-Searcher recovery magnet to retrieve some tools he dropped overboard. Now, 40 years on and more than half a million magnets later, police, navies, rescue forces and pleasure boaters worldwide use (and are grateful for) theirs, everyday. The specially made side plates channel the power of the strontium-ferrite core so that in perfect contact it has a capacity of up to 140-lb (64kg) and with the keeper plate fitted is compass safe at six feet. Measures 4×3.25×1.25″. Weighs 1-kg.
