nternational’s Yacht Primer is a conventional one-part primer that is for use above the waterline. The quick drying primer features pigments that contain aluminium flake to provide an anti-corrosive barrier.

How can International Yacht Primer be applied?
It can be applied with a brush, paint roller, airless spray or conventional spray. Spray is recommended for professional use only. Four coats are recommended.
How long should I wait in-between coats when applying International Yacht Primer?
If applied at 5C – Minimum of 24 hours, maximum of 5 days.
15C – Minimum of 18 hours, maximum of 4 days.
23C – Minimum of 12 hours, maximum of 3 days.
30C – Minimum of 8 hours, maximum of 24 hours.
How long does International Yacht Primer take to become touch dry?
If applied at 5C – 3 hours.
15C – 2 hours.
23C – 60 minutes.
35C – 30 hours.
What is International Yacht Primer coverage?
Approximately 12 metres square per litre.
At what temperature can International Yacht Primer be applied?
It is recommended that the substance is applied with the temperature between 5C and 35C.
What thinner should I use with International Yacht Primer?
International Number 1 Thinner.
What substrate is International Yacht Primer suitable for?
It’s recommended that the substance is applied on Wood, Steel, Aluminium or Lead.
Is Yacht Primer suitable for above the waterline or below the waterline?
This product is most suitable for use above the waterline.
